It's been a great Christmas with toddler B and family!! Lots of enjoyment with the pool, his wagon, and playing with cousins!

After seeing the news about the parents who had identical triplets with two toddlers -- I am amazed! I will be more amazed in the next few weeks.. I can't even imagine the lack of sleep that family will be going through! But, I'm sure they'll have tons of help from family, friends...and even outsiders. That's pretty awesome.

After being a parent for the last two months, I have a new respect for any and all parents that go through the whole labor, birth, and newborn phase. It's a lot of work, but it's so damn worth it. I can't even say how much.

p.s. I hate Fax for buying an iTouch before me.

Blogging can be evil.. yes, weird.. I know.

Does the Govt. tax Maternity leave? I don't think it does for the first 6 weeks, the second 6 weeks it does at the end of the year. That's my understanding...

I still need to finalize how many hours I need to get a decent paycheck. We shall see how it goes.

I'm overwhelmed with the amount of shopping we need to do.. time to call my brother and ask for hand me downs from my two nephews. ;) They're 3-4 (I think..or almost).. so most of their baby stuff is outgrown!

... can't wait for this weekend. Need break.

low blood pressure == bad

aCk! I'm afraid to drive now...

Due to low blood pressure or something.. I lost my vision completely on the I-15 driving home from work. I don't think I've been so scared in my life. Seriously, I could have killed my son, myself and/or a stranger. I praise God that I didn't hurt anyone and didn't hit anyone!!! I did hit the k-rail though. Not good. I didn't even see it, I felt it. I thought I had hit someone and ..decided to stop before I continued further. The truck is now dented and totally scrapped on the passenger side. *sigh* But, that's not so bad considering.. a kind stranger stopped to make sure I was OK. When I got out of the car, my vision returned. I called the Dr. and they said that it's possible the baby shifted to the point to make my blood pressure drop suddenly. It completely freaked me out. Last time this happened, I was on an airplane ....early in the pregnancy.

It started out with nauseas and then getting hot...and then everything fading to white. Geez, I hope this never happens again to me.

Ok, so I will announce it here.. I forgot that I announced it on my LJ... it's a BOY!

It seems like all of a sudden, I've grown.. seriously. Right before France, I was still able to hide it a bit. Now, I'm big-ger. I'll need to buy new tops soon, I'm hoping that the pants will survive for awhile.

We went camping on Santa Cruz Island with 10 people last weekend.. lots of fun! Unfortunately, I couldn't hike or kayak too much because my back kept spasming - just my upper left back.. man, did it hurt. It hasn't hurt like that today, which I'm thankful. Also, I came back with a sore throat. Blech. But, that went away as well for the most part. I'm hoping that I'm not going to get sick sick this year. I can't afford it and it would be miserable being pregnant and sick. :/

Anyways, not much of an update....

Eep!

Wow, only one more week.. err..little bit less than a week and I'm off to France. That's totally wild. Last international vacation was China and I think that was in 2004. Pretty much, I don't travel much but to see friends or family (which is the longest distance usually that I go). So, this is exciting.. but I can see why I don't go to Europe very often. It's uh.. a bit expensive. But, definitely worth going during the non touristy times.

This week I'm going to meet up with my brugly other (aka ugly brother whose not so ugly) to have dinner. He's bribing me with good Mexican food. Actually, I'd probably go up and see him anyways.. since it's rare I see him on this coast. We can catch up. His daughter mentioned that they're going to Nevada for Spring break, so I'm curious if that's true or not. We could meet up with them in Vegas if it is.

Other than that, I guess I should pack. One hopes, tomorrow everything will go well. Tomorrow is the ultrasound. Scary!

Baseball is right around the corner!!! Yay!!! My nights will be sucked away watching the Padres...the next 7 months, I will so be entertained.

Wii stuff, DDR is fun.. freakin' cool.. and not to be tried when you're tired. You will be booed off stage. :P But, I'm so glad I got Mister LD2 the Wii.. it's been freakin' fantastic!

....I can't wait to sleep in this weekend. Early mornings suck... but I guess in the long run, it's not bad. I just wanna sleep, darnit!

Yay.. young again ....

Yeah.. riiiiiiiiiiight! Although, it was nice that someone thought I was young. :P

I went to go buy Mister LD2 a Wii at Best Buy and I started talking to some guys there that were also waiting for the store to open. I told 'em that I was buying a Wii and the young Marine told me that I should get a PS3 instead. I then preceded to tell him, well.. the guy wanted a Wii.. so I'm gonna try and get it. He asked if it was for my boyfriend and I said nah... it's for my husband. He said I looked too young to be married!! That got me to smile. Considering I was probably older than both of them. The other guy tried to talk to me about work, I forgot I was wearing my badge, that I hooked onto my jeans.. egads. I hate it when I leave it on when I'm not in the office. :P Oh well. Nice people in general.

Mister LD2 thinks I look 27.. which is surprising. I wish!! ;P Alas...

Vacation...

I need a vacation from life... I can't wait to go to AZ this weekend and get a bit of a break from life.

Go Chargers!!

Woo Woo!! The Charger game vs. the Colts - what a freakin' fantastic game! Exciting til the very end. I could barely breathe at times. Man, and we won! That felt good, and at the Colt's house no doubt. So exciting, but now onto next week with the NE Patriots. Even if we don't win, it's a good start!! I'm thrilled! I've made bets with my brother and father.. we shall see!

Oh, I should post my nephew's band's gig... they were quite good at their first concert, I was quite impressed! Way to go CR et. the rest of the band(if you guys read this)!!! :)

Sick..

I hate hate hate being sick. :/ I feel miserable. My throat hurts, I'm coughing, I'm nauseas ..I can't sleep.. and I'm hot (not in a good way). I'm traveling this Saturday, so I gotta nick this thing in the butt. Or else, my Saturday night will be miserable. Egads!

Burn Baby Burn!!

aCk! I burnt my arm today, while cooking pies! dangit, it hurts. :( What's the best solution for a burned arm? I took a picture with my phone, I'll try to upload it. Although, I think the quality will be a bit crap.

Last time, I burnt my foot. It was a better situation though, although it hurt probably twice as much and hopefully this time it won't take as long to heal. We were cooking in Havasupai with friends on a rock and I accidently knocked boiling water that hit my foot. Luckily, I was by some nice cold water (the waterfalls), so I stuck my foot in there to cool off. It didn't blister until 3-4 days later when we hiked back to the cars. I'm guessing one reason why it didn't was due to the fact, my feet were getting constantly wet or cooled off in water (we had to cross a river every time we entered or left camp). But, after I got home, it blistered big time and took a couple of weeks to heal. I'm hoping this time, it won't take as long...

Welp...

I'm in Chicago! The lovely Windy city! Actually, it has been quite windy. Not too warm, not too cold. Just about right temp. wise. It has rained a couple of days, but not until well after midnight. For the most part, it's been a lot of fun. A lot of new information from Adobe's conference... which is always great. I finally tried the Wii! It was a lot of fun, I must admit. I almost won the tennis match!! Alas, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe it was the Heinken that I had been drinking. *G* Nah. Although, the drinking did start a bit early last night. Hmm, 5pm. They started the open bar before the sneak peaks! For the most part, those were a lot of fun.

So, the weather has been good.. the conference has been good... the sports.. uh.. that's another story. How freakin' painful was it to watch the Padres lose to the Rockies! Actually, I didn't watch the very end. I couldn't stand to watch after they hit a double off of Trevor. Man, that sucked. But, I can't justifibly blame Hoffman for the game. They really battled and tried, it's not like it was a 0-8 game or something. Trevor has been awesome this year, so he's slipped for a few games.. who hasn't. If you want to talk about massive collapse - it wasn't the Padres, it was the NY Mets!! What happened to that team? *snicker* I feel for those fans. I do.. really. Uhm.. Billy Wagner had a massive meltdown in comparison to Hoffman.

Anyways, heading home tomorrow.. having an interesting time packing! I did manage to lug my toy to the windy city. Amazingly, it's all intact, yay!! (toy == laptop ... see previous post as to what it looks like). I have never brought home so many free t-shirts in my life! :)

... and then a busy weekend with friends from AZ coming to town. Maybe we'll actually ride Nemo at Disneyland.

Rock Climbing, etc...

I found on RC.com that REI has some classes that are pretty affordable coming up. I think I'm going to check it out, K. and I have been talking for awhile to go back to Joshua Tree for climbing. It's good exercise, it's challenging, and it's fun. I'd like to get better and hopefully one of these days learn how to do all the ropes outside. Real rock can't compete with the gym. That'll be towards the end of the month.

Next week, we're driving up to Sacramento and back for a wedding. Hmm, since that's around our anniversary; maybe I'll plan for something for the weekend after or something. Next year is our big TEN year anniversary! Big plans for that one!! But for now, I'm still kinda scheming to go up to Ashland for the weekend or something. Maybe late August or early September.
