Coupons

Hmm, I think the more coupons and such I have.. the more I spend. I have all these coupons and stuff for Babies R Us... I used one yesterday for the Glider Rocker. Although, now I really want to check the price on it. See if it's the same as it was online. I think it was more?

The main items to get are:

Monitors
Bath items
Medical stuff (i.e. nail clippers and such)

...the other items would just be more bedding I think. Other than that, I think we're OK for now.

2 weeks or more...

So, officially I have less than 2 weeks to the due date. I saw the Dr. this afternoon and he said it's pretty normal for the first child to be late. I'm still hoping that that's true. Not much has changed, no dilation nor baby droppage. At least the Dr. didn't mention that he dropped. Although, I can't imagine him dropping any lower than he already is.. I can feel him move as high, as well as low as my pelvic area. It's weird. I assume, he's comfortable stretching in there.

I had my first official nightmare/dream that I was in labor this morning. That really freaked me out when I woke up. I was glad to wake up to see that wasn't true. Other than that, it's been quite rare that I've had any dreams that I've been pregnant. I'm hoping to go to the hospital this weekend to check out the nursing items. I'm going to rent a pump, just in case it doesn't work out. It's quite a bit of investment. I seem to be getting a lot of free formula though. I got some through the mail, then the Dr.'s office gave me some, and I guess the hospital also gives you some. I think we'd be set if I can successfully nurse.

Napping...

I just came home and napped for 3.5 hours.... I gotta get to work earlier, so I can go home and crash earlier. I think I slept about 4hrs. last night, I just was wide awake. Ugh. I was told this is normal...

Tomorrow I will go grocery shopping, I'm too lazy to go out now...

Baby Shower...

I'm blessed..seriously.. whenever I feel down or something. I have some of the coolest friends ever. The baby shower that D. and J. put on for me was amazing! I seriously think J. could work as a party planner -- she's quite good! But, it was nice and relaxing and I wasn't too nervous about people getting along with others -- actually, people got along quite well. We had three pregnant peeps there, including me. C. is about 7 weeks after me with a boy and K. is about 12 weeks along. We snacked and ate and played silly shower games and just hung out. In total, there were 13 women and a little boy, Brendan, who is a little over a year (very very cute). Lots of stories shared and laughter and I genuinely had a good time. People were quite generous, Bry is a lucky little baby! His Aunt even got him a few Padre outfits ;) I love it!!! They're so cute!! I need to write thank you's now! But, wow.. I was a little worried how it would go and it went really well. God blessed me with good friends and family.

Only 3 weeks to go..and we'll see how each day goes. I learned I have to wash stuff animals today, or that I have to wash EVERYTHING. I was so avoiding the blankets. :P But, now lots of baby laundry!

Weird dreams...

had a weird birth dream...

For some reason, I woke up in the hospital thinking I had my child without knowing it. I dunno if that's even possible. Anyways, I went to the nursery to go find him... instead, met a couple who was due in four days, but had to stay in the hospital the entire time. They were able to track the movements of the baby and where and what exactly would happen in the next few days. I was in awe of the equipment and the visualization of it all. The nurse came in and said "no, you didn't have your baby yet...let's see what's going on." So, they tracked the heartbeat and said it was in a NW position. Whatever that meant. No idea, other than it meant that I would go into labor soon. Which I was glad, I didn't want to sit around waiting for four days like the other poor couple had to...

I went out and did stuff..Allen was there, but I don't remember any conversations or anything... and then I started bleeding. Which was the first stage -- according to my dream that is. Then I woke up.

I'm feeling a bit crampy...ugh.
