Baseball 2007

The season is about to begin!!!! I'm so excited. I'm optimistic about the Padres, but we shall see. They have excellent pitching and lately, have been hitting - so those are good signs! I'm hoping that Khalil will be healthy all season long and I know I'll be kicking myself for not keeping him on my team. I shoulda.. instead, I'm betting on Stephen Drew. But, I do have Padre pitchers on my team - the rest of the players got a tad too pricey for my team. Ugh. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will trade me for 'em. The fantasy league has began. Let the whining and bitchin' commence!

Well, maybe that's a little too early for that .. although we had a minor altercation on how the draft went. But, in the end - it'll work out.

Let's Play Ball!!

morning...

Welp, I'm waiting for Mister LD2 to come to bed. Which should be soon, although he's being really sweet and helpful in trying to fix his brother's computer right now. But, he's also sick.. so I'm hoping he'll come to bed soon.

I've been cranky lately. Not that there isn't a reason not to be, there's not. Although, sudden sadness from what has happened last weekend still lingers. I'm not really ready to state all that what was and all that is at the moment. Just to say God is good all the time, all the time God is good. He's blessed us with family, with friends, with shelter, with jobs, with transportation, with food - what more could we ask for. I've seen a family come together and I've seen an outer family come to one another's aid. As much as the situation saddened my heart, the feelings that surrounded people were amazing and in that place, it was like God smiling down at us. Or something like that...

On another note, we saw '300.' It was quite beautiful and a bit artsy, definitely not cartoon-y. I was a bit afraid it was going to be so - but it's amazing what graphics can do. Also, amazing what a man and a gym can do. Whoa... (I feel like the Fonz). I was quite impressed with the movie itself and the hard work that the actors put into it. It screamed epic (and classic) movie. This is definately one to own and add to the DVD library. I must go out and buy the graphic novel.

Anniversary ideas...

Hmm, where to go this year, eh?

Bonnaroo 2007

So, my parents posted to my brother and I about the Bonnaroo 2007. I had never heard of it and to be honest, I wouldn't have given it a second thought except for some of the bands that were listed. My parents surprised me by buying tickets for it! My brother didn't surprise me by buying tickets for it. I surprised myself into thinking I may buy tickets for it. But, I'm thinking it's just a bit too much for what it's worth. My parents must have found out about it from the local advertising. They're in Manchester, TN for awhile. So, I'm still debating; while I'm doing that.. I offered them to come over to this side of the U.S. to check out the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. But, that would only be for a weekend and therefore a lot cheaper. Granted, Bonnaroo would be camping. Granted again, I'm not sure I'd like this kind of camping. ... and it's going to be HOT. Which isn't an issue for my brother and his family. I think all East Coasters are used to the heat. I like heat, I like it a lot. When it's dry. Anza Borrego is awesome in the summer time.. why? Because it's awesomely dry heat!

Anyways, I'm looking for some positive feedback on this Bonnaroo concert ...

Normalcy..

All I crave right now is normalcy. There's so many things I would have done or could have done the last couple of weeks and I just felt so under the weather that I just stayed curled up at home. I've had one infection that lasted longer than I thought it would and it was in my nose. What kind of weird ass infection could one get there? I have no idea, but it was painful. It's amazing how many things affect the nose. One coughing, blowing one's nose, talking, smiling, etc.. and it all hurt like all heck. Thankfully, it's going away and my nose is getting back to normal or back to it's old self. After that, no more medicine. Yay! No more bleeding, another Yay! Having a miscarriage is like having a period for a month.. can you imagine what that's like? It's unpleasant. No so much fun for one's significant other. But, Mr. LD2 was very very supportive and for that I'm very very thankful. He's been great and I've been really lucky to have him.

Anyways... back to being normal one hopes and with that, life should be good.
