Due to a request, here's some thoughts on mobile devices. I actually created a blog where I posted a few posts on Flash Lite and my thoughts on it.
Anyways, in regards to Flash Lite... I think there's some really great opportunities for it. The drawback is that some phones have it and some don't. The versioning is confusing and the popular phones don't have it. My gripe, the iPhone does not have Flash .. *at all* Neither does the Blackberry. That's a drawback. Some newer phones that are coming out will have the entire Flash player on it, so that will be awesome for Flash coders. No need for Flash Lite then. The other issue with Flash Lite is deployment.. so right now, it's on the back burner for us.
So, after about a weeks worth of research or whatnot on Flash Lite; I'm having an interesting time researching just how to develop a site for mobile without anything fun and jazzy as Flash. The drawback is that a lot of the information is waaaaaaaaaaaaay old. But, for now I'm going to do something quite simple and draw up a very very very simplistic prototype and launch it. That'll make some people happy. Then we'll see what we can do from there.
