Google Prophet!

I'm not the original "Google Prophet" ... as Mister LD2 likes to call me. I think B. was.. I'm sure there was another one out there before him. I love gmail. I love the fact that it tracks conversations and emails, I don't have to hound and find out what I said, what they said..or what anyone else said. It lets me chat with anyone else reading their mail. It allows me to share my calendar with Mister LD2 and create a calendar in which we can mutually track what we're doing, whose visiting, who we're visiting and so on and so forth.

All in all.. GMAIL ROCKS!

Padres..

Ok, the Padres have got to get their heads outta their hands.. they need to start hitting. My gosh, if we had the starting pitchers that we have now last year we would have won MORE games I think.

I mean, no offense. The frustrating bit is that the players on this team can HIT! I mean, Brian Giles, Mike Cameron, Dave Roberts, Adrian Gonzolaz, Vinny Castilla, and Mike Pizzia to name a few. I'm probably butchering their names - but man, they're killing me.

First season to ever get season tickets and it's making it difficult to really wanna go all the way to Petco .. just to leave frustrated. Not that I don't love my season tickets - because I do!

I'm also tired of people knocking on the coaches. Yes, the coaches do affect the players; but in the end - it's the players who are playing. They're either being productive or they're not.

I know it'll turn around, I wish it'd come sooner rather than later though.

Year-long Shakespeare festival to be global celebration


I wanna go..... I'm a freak for Shakespeare. Seriously. I have no idea why some people get Shakespeare and others don't. I'm just one that does.. and I'm a huge fan.

I blame Ken Branagh, Emma Thompson, Richard Briers, and others for some of it. I first saw them in Henry V, then Much Ado about Nothing.. and then live on stage in LA - King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

I can settle by going to Ashland this year maybe.. or just the Old Globe!

I'm in utter shock. The Padres finally won! Yay! Trever got his first save, which is always nice to hear. I'm a bit worried about next week in Colorado, but alas.. it should go OK I think. If not, maybe they'll get on the right track at home. I find myself this year as not quite as addicted to baseball as I usually am. Possibly because they're not doing so well, it gets depressing to watch. On the other hand, it's almost always enjoyable to watch J. Peavy pitch. W. Williams isn't doing too bad this year, but I'm not sure about C. Young or Park this year. But, the season is early - so I'm not giving up on the guys yet! Ok, so I never give up on the guys - even on a losing season - which is waaaaaaaaay too early to tell quite yet

Another reason is the Fantasy League. There's no smack talk!! What's up with that. The guys I usually depend on, who give such talk and such humor have been silent. Granted, it's early. I just hope that it's not this silent the entire season. If so, next year .. things will have to change. I miss the posts and banter. I think it's due to an argument about a team's name. Who'd have guessed that would cause so much trouble and issue. Me being the lame butt and utterly dense, did not even pay attention to how the name was pronouced. I should have, but to me, knowing whose name it was - it seemed to fit (Sam - did you ever know Paul?). Anyways, it caused such a fuss and hubub, that I think it might have killed some of the unpolitical correctness of the bantar that usually flies around these guys. To be honest, our baseball league is quite quite tame. The football league.. now that's a different matter. I stopped reading them, but they got to be quite out there. But, that's part of the fun. None of it is mean spirited, it's just all talk and jokes - giving the other players a hard time for managing such a crap team/awesome team.

I just recently returned to my old Boulderfist character on World of Warcraft. It's shocking. I'm lvl 43, but I've forgotten how to play the character almost completely. I can hear myself whine about how I can't self ressurct anymore. Alas, shamans have it so easy on the Horde side of things. But, I can't help but like my Alliance character. Alliance rocks! Ironically, I'm lower level on the Horde side, but have a ton more Honor kills. My friends use me as bait sometimes and then rush out to kill the enemy. It's always fun, a bit of a cheapshot.. but since the other side does it as much as we do, it's fair. I'm almost agreeing with A. about killing every character I see whose on the other side due to the amount of times I've been killed by Lvl 60 characters. It's just too unreal. Unfair, more likely. They do one shot and I'm dead. Lame. One of these days, we'll evolve to another game.

It's Easter! It's more than just eggs and the easter bunny. Which by the way, I have never figured out (granted, never thought too hard on it) where it ever came from. How did the ressurection of Christ get associated to eggs and bunnies?? Eggs == new life? Bunnies == ??? Anyways, I'm thankful for God's grace and for this day! I hope everyone's Easter is swell and brings new days of hope ahead.

.. and I guess enjoy chocolate eggs and such!

uhmmm..

It's raining again. Quite inconviently this time. We need to move some items and it would have been nice to use the truck and not worry about whether or not boxes would get wet and disintegrate on us. Blech. It's Friday. I'd say that today went pretty alright, except for the rain of course. But, that'd be a slight lie. I thought I had finished everything on an update on a project and I completely and utterly forgot one major part. So, I had to quickly finish it before I left. I know my project lead probably was less than impressed. I was. But, it's Friday. Still, that's no excuse.

Anyways.... it's Easter weekend and that's always good. I think. Good things happen. I think. So, happy weekend all!

weekend came and went..

Welp, we survived the drive to Grants Pass, Oregon and back. It wasn't a bad drive, but to be honest, Mister LD2 (as Sam referred to A.) was too kind to me. He let me sleep most of the way and I only relived him when he needed to catch up on some zzzzz's. We decided to buy an audio book, it's been pretty decent. It lasted the entire trip up and back and then some. We still need to finish it. The wedding was nice, the people were nice, and the scenery was nice. The weather sucked though. I'm getting tired of rain, I know that sounds weak coming from where I am; but I am. I need sunshine, darnit! Anyways, it was a full weekend of meeting new people. We met the groom and his family the night before the wedding. Always nice. It's weird, considering that we just met them and now they're part of the family! If I didn't mention it before, the wedding was A.'s mom's wedding. Otherwise, we would have probably just sent a gift - since the drive is killer for such a short amount of time. But, all went well. We also met up with A's biopop and his wife. That was interesting. I guess they're coming down to Disneyland this coming weekend with all the kids (the eldest is 21 and getting married in May) - so now we get to meet A. and D.'s half brother and sisters. Hopefully that goes well! Hmmm...if you count ALL the siblings, half and step.. you'd get 11 siblings. Wow! But, my new father in law has 6 kids, so that amounts for quite a bit. There's 3 that we really have no contact with (from A.'s biopop) and I'm not sure how much they'd want to stay in contact after they meet us. We shall see. Anyways, I'm babbling - so I'm gonna end this before I just start having run on sentences.

Rain!!!

This is the first time ever I think where I've been happy that it's rained during a Padres game. I mean, I'm estatic that it got rained out and postponed. I didn't feel like going to the game tonight, and I didn't think about it yesterday in time to trade our tickets. So, this rain out means that we have the game to a double header in July. Hmm. At least I think we do. I shall call tomorrow to confirm.

I hope it stops raining though for the weekend. I'll be in Oregon, and it'd be nice not to be stuck in a jacket the entire weekend. Last time I drove through there, it was raining. It was in December with my brother and his family, on our way to Portland. I didn't mind that drive so much, it was only from Arcata to Portland, which isn't too bad. But, this drive is going to be quite loooooooooooong. A lovely 13 hr. drive to look forward to. Of course, A. is driving probably a large part of it, which means that the timing could be cut in half. Heh, lucky me. Go Maxima!

Padres Opening Day ... poor Bonds!

A. is da man! He got opening day tickets to the Padres for he and I and we were able to sit by some friends of ours and lots and lots and lots of Bond hecklers! The game was AWESOME! Only drawback, it was at 4pm! Who the heck scheduled this game??!! Why so freakin' early??!! I had to leave work early and we actually got to the game just about the time it started. That's how much traffic and ticketing and finding seats took. I'm waiting for Bonds just to break down and turn around and heckle back. The day he does though.. will just prolong and make his own season worse. That's the disadvantage of being in left field. We were right behind him! I think we even got on ESPN - there were some creative heckling going on, Bonds only gave in to us twice. But, nothing too dramatic. Still, I think after a whole season of people yelling at him and whatnot - he'll give in and start to abuse to the fans. We'll see.

The great news, we won: 6-1.
