Yay for Pirates...

I'm glad that Pirates kicked Spidey's showings down to almost nil. At least at our theatre. I thought that the third Spiderman just didn't live up the hype. Thankfully, in my book.. Pirates was a bit better than the second installment and more entertaining! It was just a tad long, but I still enjoyed myself.. as compared to Spiderman 3. Now I'm waiting for Harry Potter next, I have to say that I love the summer - the movies are the best! I'm pathetic, I think of the seasons in terms of what movies are coming out.. I really thought I would have outgrown that from my teenage years.

Interesting view..

I really like this view.. and I only wished that I had actually gone to the top! But, alas.. we just walked around it. This is the Wallace Monument in Stirling, they have a nifty Mel Gibson statue of his William Wallace there as well. Next time, I'm going to buck up and pay to check it out. Egads, next time... not sure when that'll be. I hope to drag Alan with us though. Maybe a backpacking trip? Hmmm... something to think about.

Wrath of Gods

Wow, after watching this.. I am amazed. I don't think I've ever heard of such hardship, hard work, and just the sheer amount of trials that were overcome for a movie before. Granted, I've never seen such a documentary before such as this.. and I'm thankful that they made it. It really is quite amazing that they filmed this, and in such a beautiful location .. I have to say that Iceland, New Zealand, and Scotland are the many places I would love to go backpacking. Granted, not in the winter time. But, wow. Also, I'm very happy with the interviews.. and I'm thankful that Gerard Butler is such an orator - I love it! The stories and the experiences that he shares are just awesome. I could see why he would have made such a great lawyer (maybe bored out of his head...) but he could probably sway a jury any day.

According to this, Ender's Game is being filmed! Wow! All I can say is finally... talk about a franchise there. Welp, depending on how they film it and whatnot. I'm excited! I've been waiting for it to be filmed for awhile now..

POTC 3 Premiere

Hmm, should I try and wake up at 4am to go to Disneyland .. and see the red carpet? I can't watch the movie. Is it worth it?

It's free for me, just have to wake up so dang early..and then sit for like 12 hrs or so.

Maybe not worth it. I dunno :)

Brat vs. Big Vendor

The rather large vendor went down, in a heap of flames, smoke, and ashes. They've had two chances with preliminary talks [which, I'm glad we had; it would have sucked if they did a demo and wasted our time for 90 min] and so far, they have no idea on whether we can use them or not. They can't even answer the most basic questions, can we use them .. utilizing a different platform other than Java. Their response to this question was amazing. They have yet to try to sell their product to anyone who uses .NET, Perl, PHP, ColdFusion, Or any other language. The .NET really surprised me, it surprised me even more that they had no real idea of how to even implement it without using Java. I see now why the companies who are language agnostic are the ones with the gold stars. They prepare for anyone and everyone. Good job guys. Big vendor, go learn from the little guys.
