House - Season One

Yay! A. bought me House tonight!!!!

I'm estatic and enjoying it muchly...

I love that show almost as much as Firefly or The Shield ..

I've been addicted to Firefly lately.

My eye, my eye(s)!!!!

Ok, now I know why I felt like I was going blind in my right eye. Last night it was my right, tonight it's now my left. Having green ooze leave my eyes is disgusting, what's worse is waking up with your eyes glued shut. Not fun, thankfully hot shower unglues them. Unfortunately, highly contagious and I have foolishly spread it to my other eye.

I have eye infections! I'm guessing, my right eye is definately infected (went to urgent care, since my dr. was not in today and got medicine).. my left just started hurting this afternoon. My very eyeball hurts. What's gross is wiping my left eye (thinking it was fine, just tired).. and having green ooze on my hand. It's gross. Just an indication to me that something isn't right. So, now I'm using the drops in both my eyes, twice every 2hrs.

I hate this. I'm usually a ear/nose/throat type of problem person. I can handle all those issues.. it's old news. But my eyes! C'mon. Ouch and I hate the fact that it's hard to see, but it is a clear indication that I need to wipe them with a que tip. Makes my job working and staring at a screen not so fun...

I feel blind in my right eye. It's a bit irratating. Hmm, I should go to sleep....

On the other hand, I feel sorta accomplished. This is a little early to say, but I organized my first camping trip. I'm never in this position.. and so far, it's gone successful. Of course, the trip hasn't happened - so it may yet to be fruitful. But, so far so good. It's in Havasupai, AZ. It's AWESOME. I think they have the most incredible waterfalls. But, it's a bit odd scenery. It's hot and deserty, as well as lush and waterfally... If it wasn't so commercial, it'd be even better. Alas. You hike 10 miles to a campground and then dayhike and take pictures to your heart's content. On the other hand, if you're rich and hate camping - there's also a lodge. ... and if you hate hiking, there are horses to ride down. If you hate horses too, then you can fly down in a heliocopter. Really, your options are wide open. It's not quite like hiking Mount Whitney, where only the toughest make it to the top! (just kidding ... Although, you usually only see backpackers or gung ho day hikers up there. If you ever decide to go, I recommend camping just so you don't get altitude sickness. You may still get it, but it won't be as bad. It's almost 15k feet in the air with no trees in sight!)

I wonder if a sierra backpacking trip will occur this year. It's been 4yrs in a row, I'd hate for it to go undone this year.

Ramblings

Welp, I blew off two opportunites to rock climb due to sickness. One was going to be on real rock, which is always an enjoyment. Athough, bruises and the like always occur. The other would have been the gym. I just don't think it's fair to try and get other people sick while they're trying to enjoy their day off. Granted, I feel much better today than the last two days - I'm still hacking and coughing. Which I'm sure would be enjoyable to hear in a rather close quartered rock gym. So, I'm postponing it until later on the week.

Instead I gotta do a few things. One of them includes goals. What do I want to accomplish. What do I need to do...

I really need to start organizing the house. Even though it may seem like the lazy thing to do, I think I'm going to buy temp. file boxes. Those small ones, that's like $20 for two at Staples. I need to organize 2004/2005 files. Clean up the office. It looks like crap. Yes, I can live in a place that's disorganized. Just needs to have clean dishes and clean clothes.. and clean sheets and towels. I need to totally weed in the front. This involves getting rid of some plants on the walkway. I need to start tossing things out. Being a packrat, that could prove to be difficult.
.. and I need to paint. But, that's a much bigger job than I'm willing to do today. So, I'm going to look at some colors, chat with A. about them, and then buy them from Lowes or Home Depot and start on the Kitchen. That was never really finished and it's a good experiment area - I should say the non-cooking part of the Kitchen. Also, need to clean the fish tank. My poor fish.

Anyways, that's just a start. Let's see how far I get.

WoW humor

Ok, this is really for other people who are as addicted to World of Warcraft as I am.. I think others who view this will not quite get the entire humor about it, but maybe I'm wrong.

sick? or just a bad Friday...

I hate hate hate being sick. I woke up yesterday not feeling all that great, but I was ok. I could concentrate on work and could swallow without pain and not have to blow my nose every 10 seconds. This morning, I woke up with pain pain in my throat. I went to work, but came home around lunch time. I couldn't concentrate and I felt like crap. I took a nap, but had issues.. it reminded me of when I got my tonsils out. Every swallow had pain. Ok, it's not that painful.. but at the same time, not comfortable. I'm not sure which I'd rather have, a runny nose (which amounts to having a sore nose due to blowing it with crap tissue) or having a sore throat. Maybe a runny nose.

Communication...

is a waste of time. Seriously. Everytime I try to really become vulnerable or open.. it bites me right in my butt. I regret it and then think why even bother.

My life would be easier if I could just connect a USB cable to my brain and to this blog or any blog and just think out my thoughts. It would save me any effort or pain. People couldn't say they misunderstood . It's just be as clear as the sky.

Would you make someone you care about give up a friendship? I don't think so.. at least that's my opinion.

Anyways, I guess it's my lesson in unconditional love or something.

LD2...

Welp, this post is nothing too thrilling. But, I may as well explain the nickname LD2. It's nonsensical and a bit dorky...

LD used to mean Link Dead, in my old MUDding/college days. For those of you who know what a MUD is, you know what I mean by Link Dead. It basically meant that you got disconnected from the Internet due to someone calling you. The modem would drop you like a hat! Anyways, 2 is a random number and I used this nickname randomly at different places. For those of who don't know what a MUD(multi-user domain) is - it's basically a text version of games like World of Warcraft or Everquest - in the good ol' days when most of the time being on the Internet was telnetting or connecting to BBS through a unix account. I was way addicted. Ouch, I just realized I aged myself....

Anyways, grown up a bit since then.. but by the look of things today .. not by much. I need to mature a bit more, get over my own pride. I've learned today that at times, hurt pride causes me to be defensive in a way that's not constructive to my well being. Get over it (geez, I'm hearing The Eagles in my head now...) - I'm rambling now.

Also, just a warning. I'm not a blogger who posts every day. I'm also not a blogger who blogs about deep things or at least not too deep. Or if it's the case, it's very unusual. At least on this page. I post usual random things and at times, they're one liners... nothing too thrilling.

tired...

I'm so tired. Due to carpooling today (which I can't complain), I got into work extra early. If I hadn't hung out at A.'s work a bit, I would have been at work around 5ish. That's way too early for me. It also means, I'm leaving way early. We both have stuff to do tonight, he's doing his martial arts and I'm doing rock climbing .. so I think a nap is in order.

We went out to Khyber Pass last night, great food. I really like that place and man, was it packed. Even with reservations, we waited a little. We didn't mind though.

Yesterday was good, I can't complain!

p.s. my father sent me something for V-day! Very thoughtful and much appreciated!

Gym, Rock Climber

I got my gear (harness, shoes, etc..) and I'm all set. I guess it should save me money while climbing at the gym and hopefully it'll be all I'll need when climbing at Mission Gorge. I still need to invest in a helmet for those outdoor climbs, but for right now I'll live a bit dangerously. Mostly because I'm not doing anything really difficult yet. Safety isn't one of those things to make bets on, most times we humans lose. I already know what it feels like to fear death under water, I don't need to add the fear of falling to my list.

But, I'm excited - this seems to be a good and easy hobby for me right now.

such is life .. part 1

I have no idea why I put a part 1, since in reality.. there's so many parts of life.. that the number will be too huge.

This is just the beginning.
