Boston..

I flew baby B to Boston for a few days, he was such a GOOD traveler! He either slept or was awake and very very mellow. Everyone commented on how cute he was. I have to agree with 'em..hehe. My only problem was that he had a slight diaper blowout on the way to the airport and I thought about cleaning him up on the other side of security due to us being a tad late. Little did I know, I had to take him out of the car seat. It was quite icky. The TSA people offered me wipes, quite kind of them. I then rushed him to the restroom and cleaned him and the car seat up properly. My only other issue was coordinating things from the baggage claim to the van (that would take me to my car). But, I was lucky and met a nice fellow parent who helped me out. She was pretty cool and I highly appreciated her help and conversation before we got on the plane.

We spent a few days just hanging out with family... it was quite nice. We'll be back in January.

Santa Barbara...

Spent the weekend in Santa Barbara with my elder bro. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing.. I took baby B with me. He went to the beach and had several walks on State St.

There happened to be a music festival at the beach opposite of the hotel (must stay there again, really nice and super close to shops/restaurants).. and I heard a guest talking about Ziggy Marley. I thought it was the radio or whatnot, but nope -- he was actually their headliner. Sounded great!

Saw a super cool dog there as well, I want a giant alaskan malmute! Ok, I'm dreaming -- I probably will never have land or a house big enough for one. But, they're beautiful dogs.

Wow.. this hotel in Nashville is wild! It's like .. Disneyland. It has four different areas, you could wonder around this place for a few hours easily.

I ate dinner around midnight. I'm stuck being awake.. CA time, it's still a bit early for me.

Wonder if I'll sleep in at all. I hate the fact I booked my flight so late though on Sunday. Getting home around 11:30ish pm is going to suck.

Vacation...

France was wonderful, I cannot say enough good things about it. I so owe F. so much for it.

or something like it. I'm making some tentative plans to go to France at the end of March. I'm still nervous about going, health wise.. I think I should be ok. I gotta look into some travel insurance though, just in case. But, I think it'd be fun and probably one of the last times I'll be able to travel so far for awhile. I have a ticket to use and it'd pay for most of the airfare.. so that's sorta nice.

We'll see if it actually pans out...

St. John...

We're traveling to the US Virgin Islands this January. It should be loads of fun! I'm nervous though, we haven't gone on a vacation since Scotland/China in 2004. Those trips were AWESOME, but a little on the chilly side. Now it's time for warm waters, yah baby!! I can't wait to snorkel or scuba in warm waters, something I haven't done since college. In fact, I went to St. John with my family the year I meet Mister LD2. great Christmas, but it was humid as heck! I'm looking forward to going back. But, along with Christmas break this year and that trip, I think my vacation time is all taken. Something I miss from my old job, the three weeks were nice; especially since I had loads of days saved from previous years. Aww, well.

Interesting view..

I really like this view.. and I only wished that I had actually gone to the top! But, alas.. we just walked around it. This is the Wallace Monument in Stirling, they have a nifty Mel Gibson statue of his William Wallace there as well. Next time, I'm going to buck up and pay to check it out. Egads, next time... not sure when that'll be. I hope to drag Alan with us though. Maybe a backpacking trip? Hmmm... something to think about.
